Claudio De Laurentiis has a degree in Economics with specialization in Marketing at Bocconi University in Milan. Immediately after graduation he was hired as Assistant Buyer at GS Supermarket (today Carrefour group), starting with his experience in the modern distribution (GDO). In this position he has been responsible for toiletries and detergents categories and then some food categories (confectionery and bakery, Healthy and recurrences products) for the issues of Purchasing & Negotiation, Category Management and marketing and promotional mix. In addition, he has worked in the team for the internal project of suppliers portfolio management, followed by Boston Consulting Group.
After two years he moves to Wyeth Consumer Healthcare, first as a Brand Manager and then as Head of Marketing and Sales Manager of Consumer Division, with food and toiletries brands sold mainly in the mass market but also in pharmacy (Chilly, Chapstick, Galeffi, etc. .); this experience has been important to deepen the knowledge of the mass market channel, of managing a network of sales reps and of marketing tools for product and brand communication. In the seven years in this USA company, he develops the business and the products portfolio until the complete responsibility of the division income and in collaboration with the OTC part of the company.
Then he took the opportunity to experience as Marketing Director at OTC Carlo Erba (Pharmacia Group now Pfizer) following historic brand names as BeTotal, Polimucil, Nicorette, Fargan, etc.. with responsibility for a large team of people and a relevant communications budget.
Subsequently, in 2002 began to work as a Consultant initially for Lorien Consulting, a research institute of the WPP Group, with the objective to develop, with other colleagues, the consulting experties.
During these years acquired experience also thanks to the freelance activity for several companies in the sectors of retail, pharmacy channel and ITC, concluding several projects in team with Gianluigi Tresoldi and finally founded with him Value Managers in 2005, to offer to the market an effective consulting activity, with concrete results and no frills.
